Everyone was beaten and kicked into the river

In the night between 5th and 6th of November 2025, our interlocutor, a 17-years-old man from Sudan, traveled in a group of 5 men from Sudan from Lipa camp in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to Croatia. They traveled by foot in Croatia when they were stopped by two Croatian police officers. It was night and they were near Vojišnica, about 25 km from the Bosnian border. There were two cars, one regular police car and a van. The officers were wearing black uniforms and they were shooting with guns to the ground towards the group and yelling stop, so the groups stopped.
Possible location of pushback
The group of five was put into the van and told that they are being taken to a camp. When they arrived, they realized that they were at the border. While our interlocutor was not able to remember the location, he remembered that there were two rivers on the border, possibly near Velika Kladuša. There, the two officers in black uniforms ordered people to remove all their clothes and shoes except underwear. They also took everyone’s mobile phones and stole money from them, all together at least 350 Euros. Everyone was beaten with batons, fists, and kicks. Our interviewee had a bruise and bleeding in his eye from the beating. The group was forced to enter the river. One person objected due to his allergies, but he was beaten and pushed into the river. Everyone else was kicked into the cold water from behind, wearing only their underwear.
After walking into BiH, the group found some people, and they helped them by giving them some clothes and food. The group walked one day to return to the Lipa camp.
