From Croatia to Bosnia’,

The respondent was travelling in a group of 8 people (3 Syrian, 5 Egyptian), who started walking from Gradiska at 11pm. He reports that they walked for 5 days to Slovenia and were apprehended on a bridge on a river between Zagreb and the Slovenian border. He reports that they were asking for food in this area when the police noticed them.

He reports that the group was then taken by 4 police officers wearing blue uniforms with hats and the Croatian flag on their sleeves. The police officers were carrying pistols and battons. They were forced into the back of a large police car/bus, which was blue and had the police logo on the side. They were standing in the back, which the respondent estimated could have fitted around 25 people. They were refused food and water and werent taken to a police station.They were driven around 1.5h to the Croatia-Bosnia border and when they were let out of the bus at around 5am. They were hit with batons and pushed into a river, which was very cold. Their phones were broken and a total of around 1000 euros was taken from the group.
