The chase came to a halt when the police put a grappler on the ground. This police pursuit tool wraps around the tyres of a vehicle. The grappler flipped the car, taking 6 lives. 5 men from Afghanistan and 1 man from Pakistan were killed. The three injured survivors were cuffed at the hands and feet by the Bulgarian police. The respondent recalls that police was generally cruel.

The three survivors (aged 23, 22 and 17) were taken to the hospital. The respondent says, “One of the three injured was me. When I opened my eyes I found myself at the hospital.” The hospital failed to help the injured people. “They didn’t help us in any way. They didn’t give us food and even medicine.”The official Serbian news publication N1 leaves out the police’s direct involvement in the death of the six people, as seen in the linked article:https://n1info.rs/region/u-nesreci-tokom-policijske-potere-u-bugarskoj-poginulo-sest-migranata/ , https://archive.ph/glWRX
