“The police catch me and take everything from me”
The main respondent is one of a group of 5 men (4 Afghanis, 1 Pakistani, aged 28-36) started from Bihac and walked 5h to cross the border into Croatia. They were caught on the bus around Licko Petrovo Selo in Croatia after crossing the border from Bosnia.

The respondent described that 3 police came onto the bus (wearing black, carrying pistols and batons, but no Croatian badge on their sleeve). Police pushed their heads down onto the road. The group were taken into a white van and driven to the border. Before forcing them to cross back into Bosnia, one was punched in the face by the police and they were hit in the side with batons. Phones were broken, 50 euros were stolen.”The police catch me and take everything from me. I will say the same thing, don’t do this to us. Just deport me, don’t take my phone, don’t take my money, don’t take my shoes”
