“They took our phones …”
Four men from northern African countries were arrested on Sunday evening (8th of June) near Tue train station of Menton. They have been brought to the police station of the PAF in the evening.

While held in custody the French police took the phones if the four men. They could see that the serial number of their phones was scanned with a device. They could not see everything the police did with their phones. The four men received an arrêt de readmission but in their papers there is no mention of the procedure which was undertaken with their personal telephones.
The four men were brought to the Italian border police post and from there they were pushed back to Italy which means that they had to walk nine kilometres to the next Italian city which is Ventimiglia.
