4 men were reportedly pushed back from more than 20 kilometers away from the border

On Thursday, the 12th of May 2022, 4 people were reportedly apprehended in Croatia by men in uniform and were subsequently pushed back to Serbia. They are 20, 23, 25 and 38 years old, all coming from Afghanistan.
The respondent stated that they had arrived by foot at a resting/parking lot on a highway in Croatia, between Spacva and Bosnjaci, around 20 kilometers from the Serbian border. The respondent declared that they were seen on surveillance cameras. He reported that at first, one car arrived, with 2 men in uniform inside. Even though the respondent allegedly told these men that they were looking for asylum, the 4 persons were apprehended and not given any chance to formalize their asylum application. A van then arrived, described by the respondent as a Volkswagen Crafter, with a cell at its back. He also described that there were 2 other people in uniform driving this van. The respondent explained that the 4 persons were forced to enter this cell, and were directly driven to the Serbian border, near the Bosut river, near Batrovci. There, they were reportedly forced to walk in direction of Serbia.
