He was shivering from the cold and without medical assistance

A man swam to the coast of Ceuta, arriving at 9:00 AM. The police were waiting for him on the beach. The man, exhausted from swimming, reached the shore and immediately started running in an attempt to evade the police. However, as soon as he began running, he collapsed on the ground and stopped moving. At first, he appeared to be unconscious. The police approached him and hit him with a baton. Then they dragged him to another part of the beach by his arms, as he seemed unable to walk.

The police (Guardia Civil) handcuffed him and made him sit on the ground for 20 minutes, without any medical assistance or warm clothing. He was clearly suffering from the cold, with his wet clothes causing him to shiver, yet the police refused to call an ambulance. They simply waited for a police van to arrive, likely to take him to the border and hand him over to the Moroccan authorities.

NNK activists in Ceuta witnessed this incident but were unable to contact him, as the police did not allow us to do so. Therefore, we are unsure of exactly what happened to him. We inquired about him at the CETI, but the guys there told us they had not seen him afterward. The most likely scenario is that he was returned to Morocco.
