I didn’t ask for asylum, because they were ponting on us with a gun!

The respondent is a man from Morocco. He reports that he was travelling with 3 other men from Morocco, and one boy from Morocco. On the 29th of January, 2025, the group tried to cross the border between Bosnia and Croatia.
The group had walked from Velika Kladusa for around 15km, where he reports they found a house. A man showed up from the house, and the respondent thinks he reported the group to the police. The group kept walking anyway, along the muddy path.
The group encountered the Croatian Border Police at 1 a.m.. After follwing the way a few hundred meters from the named house, the police were hiding in a white van somewhere without lights. Then the police flashed the light. Two police officers went out with their weapons and showed them. Basically they pointed with their weapons on the group. And they said to them: “Stop! Stop! Police! Sit in the floor!”. As soon as they where on the ground, they told them to put all their phones and belongings in front of them. He didn’t look directly into their face, because he was worried they would beat him. He was looking only on the floor. They took the phones and put in the van. One person tried to hide his phone to use it for the way back to Bosnia. But as the police searched them, they found the phone and broke it. Nobody of the group asked for asylum, because they were ponting on themwith a gun. They were trying to have the least contact with them. So they didn’t ask the officers anything. A police car arrived and two police offcícer went out of it. The officers put the group members inside the van. It had no windows, so they couldn’t see where they where driving to. The car was driving super wild and the the People on the move thought it would flip upside down.

Border close to Kladusa: Bosnia-Croatia
The van was driving for around one hour. They reached a spot in the forest next to river. One of the group member was 54 years old. He didn’t want to go down from the van, because he didn’t know where he was and was worried of that. So the police officer threw him out of the van. They gave one phone to the group and told them to go from there to Bosnia. So they started walking for like ten kilometers until they reached a village. In the village there were some dogs barking. So people went out and gave them some food. It was around 4 a.m. and so they looked for a abandoned house and slept in there until the morning.
