The forced us to crawls on all fours

The respondent, a 39-year-old man from Syria, reported that on Sunday, September 1st, he was apprehended along with two other Syrian nationals in the Croatian village of Slunj and subsequently pushed back to Bosnia near Siljkovaca. While at a bus stop in Slunj, the group was stopped by two civilian dressed police officers who showed their badges and asked for their passports, which they did not have. The officers then asked about their nationality, the respondent identified himself as Syrian. The officers assured them that they wanted to help, but they needed to go to the police station first. The group was then escorted by the officers to the station, walking for about five minutes.
The respondent and his companions were taken in a small room in the police station. In the room there were two police man with their face covered, the description given matches the uniform of members of EPZ police. In the small room they were beaten for several minutes by the face covered police. After that the main respondent and his companions were taken into a police car, and they were driven close to the border between Croatia and Bosnia. The police officers take them out of the car one by one. The respondent affirms that first his companion was taken outside the car and beaten with thick piece of wood that the officers found in the forest. The main respondent was the second to be taken outside of the car, receiving the same treatment of the first. The respondent affirms that the officers confiscated them their personal belongings, including important personal documents such as studies certificates, and set them on fire. The police officers forced them to be on the ground and to crawls on all fours. The police man stopped them and beat them again for several minutes. They stated that they are gonna throw the group in the river close by, they threaten them to shoot them if they moved. One of the officers charged his gun and pointed to their heads. The main respondent stated that he was so scared, he started to ask the officers to release them and that they would return to Bosnia. At this point the policeman throw them in the river, one by one, and the group swam in the cold river until reaching the forest in Bosnia.
After, they walked for around 3 hours, reaching a gas station. The owner of the station offered them some food and drinks. They started to walk again, until they managed to find a taxi and go back to Lipa Camp.
