LIVE Bloody borders testimonies (41)

From Croatia to Serbia,

Three young men of Afghan origin left the night of March 14-15, from the town of Šid, in the west of Serbia, with the intention of crossing the border into Croatia. They left the abandoned house where they were staying on Saturday around 1 a.m. and followed the route they had indicated on Google Maps. They walked on back roads for about four hours, managing to cross the border through secondary roads.
Location where the Croatian border police spotted the group
The respondent reported that past the town of Lipovac (Croatia), in a forest area close to the road, they were spotted by a police car with two agents, who held them and called another reinforcement group (apparently an SUV) with two more agents. According to the respondent, the police who spotted them were Croatian border police, and although he did not remember much information about the officers, he said they were carrying weapons. The officers stopped them in a rude manner, and spoke to them in a threatening tone, although the youths did not understand what they were saying (as they spoke in Croatian and reportedly made no effort to translate what they were communicating).
The three Afghans were transported from the place where they were located to the border again, where they were left on a road, inside Serbia again. When they were taken out of the car, they were again spoken to in threatening tones and gestures, but the young men still did not understand what the agents were saying, although they reported that they felt the violence in the speech. From the place where they were dropped off, they had to walk back to Sid. The walk took about three hours, late at night, yet it was getting light, as it had been a few hours since they had left their starting point.
